Nathan Geering showcases Nathan’s approach to heightening accessibility for both disabled and non-disabled artists and audiences. Nathan was the Creative Director of the 2017 Special Olympics Opening Ceremony and is the founder of the multi-award winning Rationale Method of Audio Description. He also runs a registered charity called Rationale Arts that innovates Hip-Hop elements to enhance healthcare in both medical and educational settings.
Kenneth Tharp is a dance artist and former Chief Executive of The Place. Kenneth talks briefly and then leads a group of teachers in an activity where they work together to develop improvised movements carried out in unison.
Karen De Silva is a choreographer, lecturer and researcher, who encourages us to get in touch with our bodies and use small movements to improve our physical awareness.
Sian Fan is an interdisciplinary artist whose work combines movement, the female body and technology to explore embodiment, spirituality and human experience in the digital age. Sian talks us through how to fuse motion captured dance pieces with virtual reality worlds, sharing some amazing examples of her work and demonstrating how to layer physical performance into the digital space.
Laura Jones is the Co-Artistic Director at Stopgap Dance. Laura shares examples of how to engage learners with movement and dance using open language which doesn’t exclude anyone.
Lucy Garland is the Co-Artistic Director at Frozen Light Theatre Company. Lucy talks about using spaces and objects creatively in the performing arts, specifically when making work for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Suba Subramaniam is a choreographer, dancer, educator, and the artistic director of Sadhana Dance. Suba talks about expanding her creative teaching practice on sabbaticals and residentials, using physical movement to document her journeys and the scientific discoveries that were made.
Rosa Kentwood is a qualified Dance Movement Psychotherapist (DMP). Rosa talks us through how to recognise tension in our bodies and how to use simple creative and movement techniques to help relieve it.
