This playlist based around open and inclusive creative writing includes sessions led by Elle Short, Lewis Buxton and Lucy Sheerman, focussing on encouraging children and young people to use language differently to come up with new and unique pieces of writing.
Automatic Writing & The Cut Up Technique | Elle Short

I Love You to the Moon and Back | Lucy Sheerman
More about the sessions...
Elle Short is a visual and sonic artist working across intersections of video, sculpture, painting, writing and performance, and has recently completed shooting two short science fiction films. The Cut Up Technique is a series of exercises that can be applied to any form of output.
Lewis Buxton is a writer and theatre maker. Lewis encourages us to use new words and forms of language in place of the phrases and sayings that we naturally lean on in creative writing.
Lucy Sheerman runs the Creative Writing Centre at the Institute of Continuing Education, University of Cambridge where she also teaches. Lucy talks us through the process of a prospective space flight to prompt creative writing, modelling how you can use this technique in the classroom.
