About the venue
Built by the Normans in the 11th Century, Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery is home to collections of fine art, archaeology, and natural history, as well as touring exhibitions from national galleries.
Getting There
By car: The closest car park is situated in the Castle Quarter; levels K-N offer the shortest route to Norwich Castle. Apologies, there is currently no Blue Badge parking outside the museum while building work is being carried out. There is no other car parking available at Norwich Castle.
Train: The castle is a 10 minute walk from Norwich Train Station
Bus: There are a large number of buses which stop just outside the Castle on Castle Meadow
Accessibility
Step free access is via the external lift in Castle Gardens. If you prefer not to use a lift, there is alternative step free access to the Castle via Farmers’ Avenue. Visitors can bring an Essential Companion into Norwich Castle free of charge. There are large print labels in many galleries, and a magnifying glass can be provided from the main entrance desk.
